The ‘where are they now?’ chaser to Farage’s schoolboy racism..
“He inspired the country on a tide of xenophobia to leave the EU, a decision that most of the country regrets or outright hates, and.. went abroad to get a standing ovation from the German far right”

I endured an English public school. But that’s not the only reason I’m unsurprised about the Farage allegations | Musa Okwonga
Let’s put aside the schooldays accusations and look, instead, at the Reform leader’s path since then. I think a pretty clear picture of the man emerges, says author and podcaster Musa Okwonga

Wonder why the financial wizards in the city who are so afraid of Zack Polanski aren't making more of a fuss about this.
Imagine living in a house on fire and occasionally throwing a glass of water on the flames and claiming it's progress.

That's Labour's attitude to Brexit.

(No political party is loud enough on the issue given its immense salience. They should be screaming 24/7 about it.)

Brexit costing UK up to £90bn in lost tax revenue a year, new analysis shows. Britons also up to £3,700 worse off, leading to calls for the Labour government to improve relations with the EU. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game

They should be made to put it on the front page. In flashing lights.
Here’s The S*n’s pathetic, microscopic apology for one of the biggest lies in modern British politics - the “benefits tourism” fairy tale that conned millions and helped drag us into Brexit. They poison democracy with front-page lies, then whisper “sorry” in tiny print.

Farage has been criticised after the Reform UK’s former Welsh leader, Nathan Gill, was jailed for a decade for accepting Russian bribes. A Met Police probe is ongoing into whether the scandal runs deeper within Reform.

The headmaster at Dulwich College in 1981 certainly knew #Farage was a racist

What's this? Farage and Reform are already in Trumpian fascist mode and they haven't even been elected to power.
If you receive legal threats from Nigel Farage for your reporting of Reform, please get in touch.

We have employed a defamation lawyer specifically for this purpose and would love to help (and we do so on non-commercial terms). www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

BBC Director General Tim Davie and news CEO Deborah Turness have both quit. Getting rid of a former Tory candidate and the woman who wanted to change output to gain the trust of Reform voters should definitely sort out any left wing bias.

This is a lesson on how not to ask questions
Don’t ask him if he said racist things

Say “ This is just one example of what fellow school pupils say you said (to a Jewish pupil) : “Hitler was right” “Gas them” making hissing noises

Did you say that?
Did you make hissing noises?

Yes, I did racially abuse fellow pupils but I was only joking honest!
Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

It was years ago.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not in a hurtful way.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not with intent.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not genuine abuse.

And when the TV presenters have finished grilling Farage over his Russian connections, they can get on to asking him about this.
And querying his comments about a different Brexit.
Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Climate breakdown is driven by a storm of lies. This lying is systemic, funded and coordinated, and operates across almost all media, old and new.
This week's column argues that we cannot fight the climate crisis without also fighting the epistemic crisis.
