The path from abusing foreigners to abusing the disabled is well-trodden. I I hope this nugget is bright enough to reflect on who else has walked it.
Reform UK’s Lee Anderson wants to bring back the ‘invalid carriage’.

The Invacar was banned from English roads in 2003 over safety fears after some overturned and others caught fire.

BBC News is a strange thing these days, seems to only broadcast from Washington, Tel Aviv or Nigel Farage's basement.

Really needs renationalising.

This was very cathartic to write, and I'm grateful to @samfr.bsky.social for giving me the space to try and set out just why the two-child limit must go, and go in its entirety

New post out:

"The worst social policy ever"

Today we have a guest post from @ruthpatrick0.bsky.social on the abomination that is the two-child limit and why Labour need to scrap it ASAP.

Lots of data but also powerful testimony.

Reform UK:

"Stop the immigrants, we need to look after our own"

Also Reform UK:

"No, not like that"
I thought that one advantage of Reform UK Ltd morphing into the Nigel Farage One Man Show might be to spare us the malevolent moronic mutterings of Lee Anderson.

But he's back. Telling disabled people that they're inferior, and must put up with dangerous transport... 🤮

Tesco makes so much profit it could afford to feed Birmingham for free all year.

And it would still only halve its profits.

Every authoritarian action Trump is taking must be understood against the backdrop of his declining popularity.

He feigns strength, but he's operating from a place of weakness.

Prince Andrew is to lose his "prince" title and leave his Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge

Now he should be investigated by the police.

Kemi Badenoch is absolutely right about this.

At the time she hacked Harriet Harman's emails it was an offence carrying a prison sentence of up to five years

Breaking news on Radio 5: King Charles is starting processes to formally remove all his brother's titles, leaving him as plain Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, and chuck him out of Royal Lodge.

In which case, good for you, Charles. And I don't say that very often!

Dear Mr Andrew Windsor,
We note that you will shortly be vacating your previous home in the Windsor area. We have recently handled a sensitive, high-profile rental of another public figure’s vacant home, and would love to talk to you about our services.
With best wishes,

As things stand, child poverty is on track to reach record highs by 2029-30.

By then, we predict that more than one-in-three British children (34 per cent) would be growing up in poverty.

That's the highest rate of child poverty we'd have seen since 1961 ⤵️ buff.ly/qVc9CWs

Erm.... I'm sure she had lovely things to say as she collected the award!

I'm not going to spend my time at Spectator ceremonies collecting awards.

We're busy taking the fight to Reform.

So the letting agent has apologised for their screwup, not applying for a rental license on Reeve’s behalf..

So how long will Chris Mason & Laura Kuenssberg pick this to pieces, given they buried Farage allegedly avoiding £44K stamp duty, and his girlfriend, being investigated for fraud so fast🤔

It’s Brexit accelerating the normal pace of political careers. In the universe where Theresa May becomes prime minister in 2020, Badenoch is a 2020 intake MP getting her first minister of state job in the 2024 reshuffle.
Look, it maybe old news but I still find it *INSANE* that this person ever managed to become a minister, never mind the LOTO, when this would be be a disbarring fact in any other career.
She’s right. She *deliberately* hacked into Harriet Harman’s website, whereas Rachel Reeves is accused of obtaining a license late by accident. I assume that’s what she means, given Badenoch is widely known for her thoughtfulness and her self-awareness.
