Queer ascetic nomad, traveling around the US in Subarus since 2015. Reading a lot of books. Weird abolitionist, anti-prohibition, AI-hating tendencies. Went to school for psych & math, working in software begrudgingly

The most important thing about me is that in 2015, I gave away almost everything I owned that didn't fit into a Subaru Outback and entered homelessness, as a nomad. Thus my tag, which really started as the name of my blog where I wrote of my travels.

I got really into long distance hiking, too
Anza Borrego Badlands Route (Full Loop)
I woke Thursday morning to temperatures hovering around freezing, cold as hell in Blair Valley. Struggling to gain the motivation to pack up my gear and begin heading out, I delayed as the sun rose…

Los Angeles, CA -

Absolute chaos resulting from LAPD charge using batons, horse mounted units, “less lethal” projectiles. Protesters going in every direction. LAPD themselves don’t seem to know where protesters or press are supposed to be.
No matter what they do, they can't fucking beat us. Fuck fascists.

Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
I mean. 7 million people is a lot of people and a lot of power. 🤷
If 7 million people showed up to protest today, I don't think you need to worry--in a shaming matter--about those who didn't. Worry about turning 7 million people into meaningful action against fascism, lmfao

all these people protesting today in groups of a few dozen on the main streets of small towns in deep red Trump country - where they will absolutely take shit from their neighbors about it at church tomorrow or at work on Monday or next time they go to the grocery store - are braver than the Marines

Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.

He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:
I'm a fan of this woman, and I critic of these humorless police lmfao
#NoKings event in Fairhope, Al.
A woman was arrested for "lewd conduct" because she was dressed in penis suit with a sign that said "No dick-tator"
3 cops on a 53 yo woman.
This is a really thoughtful, "Oh fuck, y'know, my experience and education gives me a weird lens that isn't enough to talk about this, I just don't know, please don't ask me," and I wish it was so easy for all of us to answer like that....
NEW — Bill Nye, at "No Kings" in DC, on Gaza:
"There's something wrong when you have one country ruining, leveling another country…the whole thing just makes you furious."

"In the US, we had an agreement…we're going to leave religion out of our government. There's some value there, I think…"
Everything about the No Kings protests is the America I know, hahaha. This fucking nation is ridiculous in the best and worst ways.

I don't think folks have any conception of how radicalized a lot of moms are becoming as they go through shit like "will my babysitter get kidnapped" and "will my child be able to get the measles vaccine"
every smug internet communist tweet about showing up to a No Kings protest with an abolish ICE shirt to scare the libs is getting completely mogged by the real-life winemoms showing up with slogans like "ICE will melt in hell"

My first impression of Boise was going there like a week after their Pride one year and doing my laundry at a Pride supportive Laundromat. And I've always kinda appreciated they have a population like this to show up ever since.

"But man, how do you not know what consciousness is if you do these drugs, man..."

Stfu. Go do another goom sess and chill the fuck out. Try out normal for a lil bit, man.
As much as I hate to be a "Just be normal," person, like, just be normal about the weird hallucination magic drugs man. For a lil bit.
Anyway, fuck, now the next week I'm gonna have a bunch of weird psychedelic freaks in my mentions. Fuck. I don't enjoy that.

Whenever they do one of these No Kings marches, they always have some of the most reactionary posters. With takeaways like, Trump is so bad, he's secretly gay, secretly Asian, secretly a woman. For some USians, he can't be bad and white or bad and straight or bad and a man.

I think Dracula could defeat Frankenstein but I don’t think Count Chocula could defeat Frankenberry and that speaks to the richness of the characters
It's hilarious to me because I access these same parts of me throughout my life. But I especially like things like long distance hiking because they REALLY tap into the same sides of me, without dissociating into hallucinations. Lmfao
Worst trip I ever saw someone else having, we were gooming, and everyone else bailed once dude started talking about evil a ton and then threw up all over my floor. I was just kinda going with it until I decided the best course was to lock myself in my bathroom and draw on the mirror for the night.
Y'know, I've never really had a bad trip on hallucinogens, but I've had some crazy nights tripping with someone having a bad trip. Like *worst* trip I ever had was a high dose salvia that I thought I was falling into the lowest layers of hell, and I just laughed and laughed and laughed

Federal agents deploy chemical weapons on unarmed americans
Just arrived on the scene at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland. Here less than 10 minutes when agents charged out of the facility and used a pale yellow gas that caused tears and coughing in crowd members. Also shot munitions at those retreating.
That said, my experience with salvia isn't exactly unusual or usual for salvia. I just saw the world around me become rubbery paper that sometimes merged together and couldn't stop laughing when I was using it frequently. Lot of people see green fairie and fractal shit.
