This is a massively dumb way to fund things. Just fund local government properly through fiscal devolution, council tax reform, and social care reform. Oh, wait, you ducked all of those again....

Struggling to process this at the moment. My comrade is gone. My thoughts are with his family and all that loved him. Raise socialist hell in the next life brother

Popped out for a few bits and its horrible here today. There's a definite atmosphere. I had forgotten its the #NLD. Time for a quick pint in the beer shop and then home to cook. Getting right out of this

#NP This came on randomly and I'm instantly returned to 1993, the summer after its release, A great time of cider, bongs and giggles. And soundtracked by this banger of an album youtu.be/aatK_l9Yuyk?...

I am old enough to remember hundreds of county players being forced to play with a Kookaburra ball for weeks on end, while the Test side was in action at the same time and not using one.
Maybe it was a fever dream? Must have been.
Imagine Surrey scoring 800+ and a bowler going for 200+?
Bad dream!

Hhhmmm. Go to bed full of optimism about the cricket. Wake up and things are very different. And now I've got to watch my team, with the worst GD in the division, play the form team. Sport is rubbish

I know Spector is deeply problematic. It doesn't stop this being 1 of the 2 best Christmas albums of all time & is always played on the morning along with the Vince Guaraldi Trio's A Charlie Brown Christmas before heading to the pub

The cocktail is correct, and much as i dislike contradicting one of the country's greatest legal minds, I'd go with Berry Bros No 3 and Noilly Prat for a superior version of the world's greatest cocktail. Lemon twist or olive is acceptable. On no account spoil it with a pickled onion
Today’s #FridayCocktail is a classic dry martini.
The Botanist gin/Dolin vermouth. Have a good weekend.

Slow hand clap for everyone that's ever been to a dumbdred game. You've taken 4 day cricket away from me in August, and with what's in the pipeline you've taken 50 over from me too at the same time. But at least you get to talk about your "sets" and "maximums", so there's that.

Awful, awful, awful news about Mani. That £ucker could groove!! Seen him so many times, but I'll never forget Somethings Burning at Heaton Park. It was magic!! RIP

We're heading for a sell-out at Arbour Park with tickets now in very short supply.

Don't settle for watching it on TNT Sports or discovery+. Make sure you're there to witness it live.

My word did we need that. Really pleased for Ads and the clean sheet. He's too good a keeper to keep being on the end of tough results. On we go to Saturday & a really tough game against an excellent Worthing side. But we go with hope. #OneSlough #AllTheRebels
𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 points and a clean sheet as we get back to winning ways at Arbour Park!

Debutant Ruben Shakpoke's first half effort was added to late in second half stoppage time by Jaiden Drakes-Thomas.

The only Legitimate Concerns about asylum seekers are concerns for their well being and safety. For a rich country like ours to incessantly whine about these people as if we are their victims is perhaps the single most pathetic spectacle in British politics over the past quarter century.
No, I'd say it's racists and those pandering to them.

I have a certain level of sympathy for the club itself, there's only so much they can do. But if something like this was happening at AP the hardcore old school fans would yeet the idiot out & tell them to never come back. I get as frustrated as the next fan by officials. But no ref, no game 1/
To be clear:

The abuse in question was more sexually aggressive than sexist.

Contrary to a widely reported claim by their manager, the culprit was not identified and removed. The nearby fans circled the wagons and the abandonment was therefore inevitable.
England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A match was abandoned after sexist abuse towards a female referee on Saturday.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds' game at Coventry Sphinx was abandoned at half time after the referee told the teams she would not continue.

The teams play in the eighth tier.
