What exactly did they learn that wasn't already painfully obvious from the last two years of consumer backlashes to other AI-generated ads (especially holiday ads)?

They spent how much money to learn something they could have learned for free by watching the reaction to Coke's GenAI ads?
McDonald's has taken down a Christmas ad made with AI following online backlash

The company said the moment served as "an important learning" as it explored "the effective use of AI"

It seems pretty odd for a University President/Chancellor to suddenly announce they will retire just 3 weeks from now.

If this isn't due to some sort of family/health emergency or similar, you gotta wonder if he's getting out before some sort of scandal is about to break?
JUST IN: Clemson University President James Clements has announced his retirement effective December 31.

We are OVER $25K ON DAY TWO, with just over $4k left to hit our minimum goal for 2026! You're all incredible, thanks for the support and the shares!

Finishing the meter isn't a guarantee though, so if you were thinking of giving but waiting, help us keep this momentum going! gamehistory.org/donate

VGHF is 2/3 of the way to their $30k goal. Please consider donating to help them finish strong! They are doing great work that nobody else is doing to help preserve the history of this medium.
It's Giving Tuesday at the VGHF! We've had an incredible 2025, but we need your help to make sure we can continue doing our charitable work in 2026 and beyond. We just launched our annual Winter Fundraiser campaign, please give if you're able (and share this post!). http://gamehistory.org/donate

Did you know that your donations today are DOUBLED?

That means if we raise another $424, it'll magically become $848, which will put us HALFWAY TO OUR GOAL on day one!

Happy Giving Tuesday! This is the one time of year where we directly ask for financial donations to keep the VGHF going strong. I'm proud to say that we only need $30k to reach our goals for 2026...and we're already 25% of the way there! Please share, and give if you're able.
