Rolls are on their first rise.

My hips and thighs and knees are all definitely sore this morning. We found the pain point! Whee.

12 years ago today my daughter Zoe Vanora passed away 6 days before her due date.

It’s still awful.

If you have anyone in your life who’s lost a baby, please, for me- remember birthdays and loss days. Remember their name. Ask them questions about their child. Don’t let them remember alone. 🧵

I would like to skip the next week or so.

Hoping making bread in the morning is a comforting distraction for a change.

I think I deserve that, after like 5 years of therapy and two of EMDR.

Since I've started here, I've come across many awesome creators and small business owners. With the holiday shopping season here, I figured it was about damn time to finally make a Starter Pack.

Fuck Amazon. Fuck WalMart. Fuck Target. Shop small if you can.

God a double oven is literally the most life changing decision I’ve made in the last year. Talk about removing an entire layer of stress from cooking multiple course dinners.

Hey folks- if you’re new to BlueSky PLEASE watch this video and learn how to use it.

This is not Twitter. There isn’t really an algorithm. Use lists, feeds, and tags to get shown in feeds or you really are shouting into the void!

Have conversations, follow people, and reshare things you like!
It's up!!!! My Explainer video for BlueSky beginners.

I cover how to find your Twitter followers, Starter Packs, Feeds, Lists, some handy-dandy tools, and BlueSky etiquette.

Please watch and/or share with any newbies you know. I think it's helpful.

If you’ve never ground up allspice berries (or any other whole spices) in a mortar and pestle I suggest you get right on that and stick your face in it.

… and also you pay for it. And somebody paid for everything it’s made with.
That argument about the right to art is so insane to me.

If you order a sandwich, you have a right to a sandwich, but you don’t pretend you made it?

Device…hoarding. Because you don’t go get a new one while yours is still fine.

Apparently I am also practicing car hoarding, house hoarding, husband hoarding, dog hoarding, computer hoarding, furniture hoarding and art hoarding.
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.

Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

Pie crusts are chilling. It’s my grandmother’s recipe- might have been her mother’s? Which would put it early 1900s.

3 c of flour
Heavy pinch of salt
3/4 c shortening
1 egg
1T apple cider vinegar
5-6 T COLD water
