Five months ago I mentioned the risk to crypto of all of these companies trying to copy Saylor

bsky.app/profile/stoc...

It's amusing all the crypto bros cheering Saylor on, not realizing the ultimate consequence of what would happen. There's a reason Saylor was one of the biggest dot com losers.
This is a scary trend. If crypto prices don’t rebound, DATCOs could be forced to sell their crypto, dragging the market down even further. Galaxy Digital researchers have compared the model, and its potential unwind, to the 1920s investment trust boom and bust.

This is near 100% confirmation that Tesla won't get a permit to roll out FSD Supervised in Europe.

My hunch is that the Regulator needs Tesla's FSD data, which Tesla has refused to submit even to regulators in California since 2014.

I wonder what Tesla has to hide?

I got an email with this header and at first I thought it said "Would you like to collaborate with Grindr?" 😂😂

Fool me 5000 times, then I might be a $TSLA self-driving robotaxi believer.

the market believing Musk's tweet yesterday even just a little bit amazes me

fool me once just never seems to apply to the man

JFK was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone.
My first political memory - exactly 62 years ago right now, a 4-year-old boy trying to understand his mom's tears - is still the biggest event in my lifetime. We still (IMO) don't *really* know who killed JFK, but we know the public's trust was shattered. It's a straight line to today's mess

Who knew that the concept of an append-only database would so such great promise of innovation. You just needed to give it a fancy word like "blockchain"
“Bitcoin might not have lived up to its promise as a currency, but the underlying blockchain technology shows great promise.” (Someone, circa 2015)
If you're still referring to bitcoin as a currency or a store of value, please see me after class.

Saw Geoff Tate on his tour last night ... last time performing Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime" in its entirety. Dude still has the vocal range at 66 years old.

I do think this is one of the things keeping Twitter alive. I followed a bunch of local Seattle sports accounts when I used to be there and none have left. There's still a dearth of sports accounts on the alternative platforms; @minakimes.bsky.social is one of the few good ones I've found here
If BlueSky built up its sports scene more (it's growing) I do wonder if Xwitter would crater.

Et tu @firefox.com ?

I'm so sick of AI being sneakily shoved down our throats by Google and Microsoft and mow @mozilla.org . Seriously it all needs to be opt in (rather than having to opt out) and it should be easy to turn off (without defaulting back on)

$TSLA falling below where Elon bought some to pump the stock to get his pay package approved.

It's looking more and more like that pay package vote was the top for $TSLA

Bitcoin is just leveraged Nasdaq 24/7 gambling.

I am also seeing $1.7B outflows over the last week in IBIT.

IMO between gamblers on leverage getting smoked (the exchanges know where everyone's pain points are) and large outflows is why Bitcoin is down.

Also the same gamblers in the AI theme.

"Software glitch" and "manipulation" HAHAHAHA

It's almost as if, hear me out here, that people piling into a highly illiquid, purely greater fool "asset" with zero fundamental value wasn't such a great idea.

Access journalism vs accountability journalism is such a perfect way to put it
i find it so off-putting when you watch journalists interviewing politicians and you can tell they’re friendly, all in a big club that doesn’t serve the public’s interests. access journalism is the opposite of accountability journalism.

$TSLA starts ride hail service with drivers named "Rob"

Tesla simps: "Robotaxis!"
I love how low the bar has come for $TSLA simps
NOT BREAKING NEWS

FrUD's Take:

"This is how Tesla “launches Robotaxi in 5-6 new cities” by the end of the year, as Musk claimed.

Tesla simply has to secure ride-hailing permits & launch them with drivers that use FSD, & call it ‘Robotaxi’. That’s enough to keep shareholders excited"
