Rewatching The West Wing. So good, and so dreamy the idea of smart passionate people working through challenges to solve problems.

Also: love that show wasn’t afraid to get theatrical! See “Two Cathedrals”

Bezos-ism at its finest. The Pope’s “divisive” take is that Christians should take care of the poor and the vulnerable. Which does offend greedy people, I suppose?
Great work @tvaziri.com

You’re great at explaining all the nuances of this artistry. And we can sense your passion for it.
Vanity Fair asked me to talk about visual effects, and it was my great honor to show off some of ILM’s terrific work over the years.

I love that he doesn't take the bait on the "Is that going to stop people from voting for you?" question from Behar. He just lays things out plainly, states that what Trump is doing is wrong, and explains the ways in which it's possible to fight back. Mamdani is exceptionally good at this.
Mamdani: "Every day, Trump wakes up and makes another threat, a lot of the times about the city that he actually comes from. What is angering to me is not what Donald Trump does, because we've come to expect that from it. But it's the idea that we have to accept that as the law, as normal."

Obama on Trump's 'continuously disproved' Tylenol claims:

"The degree to which that can do harm to women who are pregnant, the degree to which that creates anxiety for parents who do have children who are autistic, which, by the way, itself is subject to a spectrum … is violence against the truth."

OBAMA: It's fair to say that 80% of the world's problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won't let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything. They get very anxious about it.
Apollo 13 still is a great film. Was incredible in IMAX.

At least Trump's dropped the pretense that this is about Charlie Kirk and is instead really just about him not wanting to be made fun of.
Trump: "When 97% of the stories are bad about a person, that's no longer free speech."

We’re taking at least next week off from the show.

Walz on Trump saying he's not familiar with Melissa Hortman's assassination: "Nothing surprises me. There's no compassion, there's no empathy in this man, and there's no sense of governing for the whole country ... he's doing nothing to improve people's lives."
I read that while writing TLJ, Rian Johnson asked JJ to change the ending of TFA (still in production) so R2 could accompany Rey. Originally BB-8 was to travel with Rey.

NEW! In 1987, in an issue celebrating the first 10 years of Star Wars, Starlog magazine featured an article that somehow predicted the next almost 40 years of stories! Join us as we go through the article and discuss what he got right and what it still could predict! Links ⬇️
Maybe ‘fight’ is too strong a word. How about “argue passionately until I’m blue in the face?”

Started The Filmumentaries Podcast 5 years ago with zero plan, just curiosity.

It’s since taken me to Skywalker Ranch, Lucasfilm, a BFI panel, and Martha’s Vineyard (to film for my Joe Alves documentary).

Sometimes making your own luck is just showing up and saying “yes.”
