This year’s green hop season has been brilliant. Two of the best are pouring at @thegreengoddesspub.bsky.social today. @kernelbrewery.bsky.social Wet Hop Bitter, all complex malts, sticky hop oils, then @elusivebrewing.com Green Hopper, crisp, fragrant, a lovely twist of bitterness on the finish.

1/ I have written a paper/ 4-part blog series called ‘Putting Down the Vase’. It is about populism, trust, and how Labour can stop Reform. The central argument is that, in a climate of low trust, risk-aversion at the centre must be overcome.
