I fear I’d demolish a whole one, given half a chance!

It seems to have been a good season for firecrests. I’ve never seen them by in our garden before this autumn, but they’ve been regular visitors. Joyful creatures.

I think you’ve misunderstood Scrabble.

I got sent to whamhalla by a passing cycle tuktuk tout in Soho a couple of nights ago. Those things are a menace.

Glad to hear it went well!

Morning all. It’s a frosty start here, so much preferable to the dreariness that’s forecasted for the next ten days. We’ve got a nice quiet weekend ahead prior to a lively run in to Xmas. Today’s priority mission is to order the bird for Xmas lunch. Have a corking weekend when you get to it.

Good morning all and good luck today Clare.
“The Spy Who…” last night was excellent, and also the first thing we’d seen at the new @SohoPlace theatre. Lovely venue. Today is an admin day, well times for all the rain… and then am off out for a bite with a lovely bunch I worked with back in ‘88-92.

Yes, am very much looking forward to it.

Good morning Jules and all. Hoping for a repeat of yesterday’s bright and crisp weather; it certainly made for a busy day on the market. I’m back there again today and then out to a stage performance of “The Spy Who Came In From The Cold”. Should be fun.

My own mulling could certainly benefit from a shot of electricity !
December 2, 2025 at 8:21 AM
Good morning Guy and all. Well, our first Monday of trading in December was fairly quiet, but that’ll change as we ramp up to Xmas. Yesterday’s lesson was that there can be too much mulling. The phalanx of urns our neighbours use fried the electrics. Hoping for a less eventful day today.

Humf is an absolute menace.

Good morning Didi and all. The market, normally closed on Mondays is open today and all
Mondays through December so I’d better get a move on. The weather sounds wild outside… could be an odd days trade.

As invigorating as a bright winters day. Blissful stuff.

The Bishop’s Wife. Essentially it’s another It’s A Wonderful Life… it even stars Cary Grant. Festive as fuck.

Am sat in the dark with coffee sit listening to a robin singing outside. Bliss.

Good morning CQ and all. Cracking day yesterday topped off with some fab cooking at Cloth (Farringdon). Crab on confit potato and partridge starred. Could have eaten a dozen of those confit potatoes…
I’d better get out there and walk the calories off. Have a corking weekend when you get to it.
