🚨 PFI was scrapped for a reason. Yet tomorrow's budget may confirm the revival of private partnerships in the NHS.

The evidence is damning:
💷 Cost taxpayers billions
🏥Hospitals too small with dangerous flaws
⚠️Public left with risk

Here's more on why PFI failed👇

You can see why the BBC are being ‘cautious’ in light of the Panorama backlash from Trump. However, the BBC should be braver; it should not bend to Trump’s threats when he holds no legal powers over it in its home domain.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

I suppose it depends if you’re pro or anti-Trump, but from where I’m standing it looks like he does a pretty good job of defamation of his own character.
add this to the list of reasons why Trump's defamation claim would not stand a chance

I’d say “just how low can he go?” but I reckon Trump isn’t even trying. This sort of shit is just him getting warmed up.
Trump defends Mohammed bin Salman over the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi:

"A lot of people didn't like that gentleman... Things happen... He knew nothing about it."

A US intelligence report concluded that bin Salman personally "approved an operation" to "kill or capture" Khashoggi.

If we insisted on same day hair appts many of us would be disappointed. But do GP surgeries need to offer same day? If there's a UTC isn't that where we should go? I'm struggling to think of anything that might need 'same day' that isn't catered for in a UTC except maybe gynae.

A percentage of UK asylum seamers claim to be under 18 because if they are deemed to be an unaccompanied asylum seeking child (UASC) they qualify for support and education that an adult does not. Rather than the £9 a week an adult gets, UASCs get housed by the local council.

If it will shut the orange shit-gibbon up, I’ll gladly stump up $10 by way of compensation for any harm done by @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social Panorama’s dodgy editing of speech (which arguably was actually inciting violence). Not sure about US prices but surely that would get him a Big Mac?

So true, needless deaths with people already dying from Measles as an example. Sadly my trust levels in Streeting are very low. Creeping privatisation continues with multiple private providers taking money away from patient care.
RFK is making it so that people in the USA are more likely to get sick by laying waste to vaccines. Meanwhile many everyday Americans are reaching the point where they just won't be able to afford their health insurance. They're going to kill people with this.

These Reform grifters really do take us for idiots. Just how deranged* would you have to be to let them near government?

*With apologies to the one or two sane people in Ashfield, Clacton, East Wiltshire, Runcorn and Helsby, not forgetting Boston and Skegness.
In these times of rancour & division, it’s comforting to find things on which we can all agree: Kent County Council, for example, really does provide a perfect illustration of how well Reform would run the country. I agree with Nigel!

I’m as sad about BBC director general Tim Davie, and CEO of News Deborah Turness, losing their jobs as I would be if any other Tory did. Also looking forward to hearing much less about Reform and more about the Green Party. Tomorrow will do, once the news isn’t the news. #BBCBias
