I often have that experience. Not always. I try to keep my internal clock in good working order.
In Trump's world, everything is partisan. A nominee who gets an endorsement from a Democrat is unacceptable and must be replaced. The concept of Justice For All has disappeared. Gone, vanished. It will return when Trump has left the stage, I hope.

Since its founding, the UN’s world hunger monitoring group has confirmed only 4 official famines: Somalia 2011, South Sudan 2017, Sudan 2024, and Gaza City now. Entirely caused by Israel’s use of famine as a weapon of war. As a Jewish survivor of war myself, I’m ashamed of a country I once loved.

When a bully takes a toy from an another child on the playground, the principal shouldn't call both kids in the office and settle it by giving the toy to the bully to keep the peace. Because you know why? Rewarding the bully will only encourage him to take more toys.

That’s it.

That’s the whole ballgame summed up.
"It is unclear whether Leon ended up in that Central American country deliberately or by mistake."

Is it cruelty or incompetence or brutal callousness?
Is this a legitimate news story? What is the source (other than TikTok)? Why is the sheriff's name mis-spelled? After the Mexican rescue team "walked" across the border, how did they travel to Kerr County? I have so many questions!

For the first half of my kindergarten year, my family lived in a shitty little apartment complex somewhere in Central Texas. I forget where. I think Waco? Copperas Cove? We moved around a lot. If memory serves correctly, I attended three different schools that year.
