without knowing the actual sentence structure of the example you provided I can easily see it being structured like "a mother to me, could have been, lalah sune, was a woman". it's an easy way to translate it that sounds Fine if you're not concerned about it sounding distinctly japanese in structure

I think it's because with japanese sentence construction it's a lot more common to have sentences that are like (modifying phrase) (noun) (action). just as a random example 銀河最強と 言われる白き騎士が もたらした is literally "the greatest warrior in the galaxy, said to be, white knight, brought by"

it's kind of interesting kirby is going in a like. not reverse but parallel route where they're also updating their standard 3D models but they're laser-focused on looking good on a per-game basis rather than necessarily worrying about consistency in artistic branding
