In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

i just don't think that says anything about what he'll *do*! but i think the few things he's *done* since 11/4 do give indications (which aren't good).

Instead of "boots and suits" what history shows is that otg queer and trans folks are perfectly capable of organizing ourselves. That the most gets done, by far, when we also take the fight to the gentry within our own demographics, who would happily ditch us to secure their own positions.

Assimilationism is a political stance about power, one that historically prizes well-off white queers assimilating into the existing status quo while deprioritizing (or even being hostile to) rights and struggles of the rest of queer communities.

New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.
