You know what, if Silent Hill becomes this weirdly global series where each studio gives an anthology take on that world colored by their local culture, I'll actually be really happy with that

The worst part is that it's hard to even describe without making it sound over hyped BUT IT'S REALLY THAT GOOD

Oh but don't worry folks, they put protein back in food so we're on the path to a healthier life

Yeeeeeah I'm absolutely double dipping to see this one again tonight

Super excited to finally see more people getting out to see this film, you'll understand why I've just been vibrating wildly for the past 3 months waiting to finally talk to anybody about it

i've been sitting on being able to talk about this movie with anybody for like 3 months, i'm so fucking excited to start seeing people getting out to the theater for this one

I kinda still don't know how I feel about it personally yet. Honestly, it's fascinating that I do actually have to think about this and how I feel instead of there being a clear cut path of what's the Right Answer here.

Even the fact that his response isn't a "get over it" and more a "you're right, take those feelings and engage with it in the game" feels like a weirdly more... intentional perspective on it than other devs who just dig their heels in and insist it's the children who are wrong on similar snafus

I have invoked both Waters and Kenneth Anger in describing his work to folks multiple times this week, haha

Fun fact; there are actually two notepads installed in windows 11 and the old classic version of it is still just sitting in your system files. You literally can just swap out the weird AI version with it
The AI features added to Notepad created a critical exploit vulnerable to loading a compromised txt file.

The fix is part of Patch Tuesday, so update your systems.

AI is not a feature I ever desired in Notepad. I should look into some alternatives...
AI-upgraded Notepad now exposes Windows users to critical exploit
A critical remote code execution vulnerability found in the AI-upgraded Windows 11 Notepad has fueled renewed criticism of Microsoft's forced AI feature creep.

Anyway this game continues to click all the right buttons for me. Every few minutes something just makes me cackle with delight at some wild choice they didn't have to make but they still did anyway. I love that the jacket is just Doc Brown. I would wear the shit outta a real version of it.

I feel like I also got this vibe from Silent Hill F last year and fwiw if I ever describe a game as feeling like a PS2 game, this is kinda what I mean. That era where there was no standard vocabulary for what a game should feel like, every game had its own new rules

Romeo is a Dead Man reaffirms that one of my favorite mentalities for a game to have is that when confronted with "you know, a modern game would've just done this" it confidently just responds "we know, we don't care"

I made the decision to play it on bitter chocolate knowing it would force me to engage with the different systems instead of just mindlessly mashing my way thru and honestly so far I'm real glad I did. It's chunky in a really engaging way

The most frustrating part is I *have* good speakers lying around, they just don't have any aux ports. Nothing I've bought in the last ten years does, how did we get here 🙃
