Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Watching women's curling and my main thought is how it's just the coolest thing in the world to me when someone is so good at something I'm sure at some point everyone in their lives told them "lol I don't see the point of learning this" then haha sucker now they're now a professional expert at it

I met Khary Payton, Drebins’ voice actor at a con and someone had asked about how it was working on MGS4, if there was any standout moments to him he remembered.
He then began to describe being given Laughing Octopus’s backstory and genuinely thought he was being pranked.

The funny thing about the weird fantasy people have about AI sentience is that if machines really truly DID start developing true autonomy, this country wouldn't welcome them with open arms. companies and the gov't would do everything in their power to deny their personhood

makes sense, from start to end of my teenage years I played Final Fantasies 7, 8, 9 and 10 as they came out. that kind of thing is gonna warp you into being dependably nostalgic if nothing else. if the only contemporary FF I got to play was 15? that couldn't warp me, I'd be normal and well adjusted.

Fun fact: Costco is basically the only store I've never been treated weirdly in for being black my entire life.

after having my hopes dashed hearing that prizes like the simpsons house just got sold and scrapped for parts, i love knowing that one-of-a-kind prizes out there are still living full healthy lives
