Turns out a part of me just wanted to be a hedonist and an object of desire. I almost became an incel during puberty that meant during my sexual self-discovery I thought only women got to enjoy that.

Then in college I met women who *were* that and liked dad bods and guys who were compassionate.

Misfortune aside, I genuinely enjoy reminders of the inexorable passage of time.

I want to get my first tattoo and have it be a standing upright juniper on the inside of my forearm. It'll start small but I'll add sections and color over time as I pass milestones and personal seasons.

I appreciate it, but that's OK. I am greatly privileged to owe my family many thousands of dollars from this extended bout of unemployment because my life's savings were drained several years ago and I was laid off right as I started refilling that.

I dunno. I mean for one I'm still unemployed since April and beyond broke.

That aside, I like accepting the aesthetics of aging. I've had gray hair for a while. I'm worried about eventual vision loss, but I don't mind going bald by choice in some years.
