She called me (again, unprompted!) to let me know that she believes that I caused my Crohn's whenever I "got it into my head" that I was allergic to meat in 2019 and then I began eating fake meat.

The reason I "thought I was allergic" is because red meat caused a flare—

Completely agree. Like she's said stuff about my Crohn's before but this is the first time she's ever called me out of the blue in a way that felt almost proselytizing. Feels like she's just being enabled by this bullshit.

Proceeded to tell me that Crohn's isn't real, and I can be healed from it (not true). And that no one in history had Crohn's (also not true).

The worst of all is that she said I "need to be off immunosuppressants" so I can have a biological child. What the fuck.

She then told me that I should go on immunosuppressants (the first line treatment for Crohn's) only "temporarily" and to "heal my gut" instead with kefir and red meat. Again, red meat is a major Crohn's trigger for many people. Not to mention dairy is also?! 😭

but I didn't know this because I didn't have Crohn's. I just knew that I felt very sick when I ate red meat.

Secondly, I didn't even eat fake meat alternatives. Like I just recently started eating impossible/beyond meat. She's legit just making stuff up??

A friend called me yesterday out of the blue to spew unsolicited Crohn's advice to me (she does not have Crohn's nor any autoimmune disease) and it was objectively the worst advice she could have given me. Not to mention patently offensive.
