All those cops who threaten to quit if somebody they don't like gets elected can save that noise. They know they'll never have a more cushy job with license to kill, unquestionable authority, the lowest possible standards and all the overtime you can ask for.

One of the first things I thought when they left was, there are Black and Brown people dealing with much worse from ICE as we speak across the country. This should not be our reality. And it shouldn't take something happening to you for you to be outraged about it happening to everybody. Alas.

- I looked out my window & saw cops with long guns out in my backyard & a K9 pissing on my plants
- cops questioned the whereabouts of my friends & I during a recent robbery even tho we were clearly 12yr olds with backpacks on next to a middle school that had just let out

When asked, "Who gave this address", "Are you not going to describe the person you're looking for" and "Why do you need your guns out for a stolen iPad", the 2 Hispanic cops stood silent looking annoyed while the Black lady cop repeated what she had already said and that they were now leaving.

So 2 cops (white Hispanic men) just came to my door, guns drawn, asking who was in the residence. When asked why, they didn't explain, they only repeated the question. Then a 3rd cop (Black woman) came up and said, "Somebody snatched an iPad @ a Walgreens nearby and we were given this address."

People are guarding churches and patrolling alleyways. Ran into Alderperson Hadden. First timers tell us they're primed and ready to use their whistles.
