It's good that James Carville is now calling for economic populism — but our side also needs credible, authentic messengers for this stance

Nobody will buy it if Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom suddenly start talking like Bernie

while I’m being cranky, access journalism needs to go. When the president does his “I’m alpha because I insulted you” thing somebody needs to fall on his sword and say “what the fuck is wrong with you, old man?” on a hot mic. the hero of the wizard of Oz is Toto.

In an interview with Church Times, the Archbishop of York Cottrell talked about his visit to occupied Palestinian territory and for the first time ever publicly calls Israel's system of control over Palestinians an apartheid regime.

Cottrell also says Israel has committed genocidal acts.

Socialist Majority is proud to announce a slate for @socialists.nyc leadership!

DSA is poised for power, and we have to strike while the iron is hot. We need to build off Zohran's win to fight for his affordability agenda in all corners of NYC.

made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

The crazy thing about Senate Dems caving for a vote in the Senate, but not the House, is that it will give Senate Republicans up for re-election (Susan Collins) the chance to vote for ACA subsidy reinstatement with total security that it will never become law.
Shaheen: "I think we can get a bipartisan bill out of the Senate that will address this [healthcare] issue. And if not, we know that the voters are going to know who's on their side and who's going to hold them accountable."
