Oh that would be perfect. Curious about the game but put off by the chop suey font etc. As well as just being hard to find. That would solve everything.
I just used the phrase 'pain points' in a conversation and I hate myself. Office life.
Adding custom book covers to "A Place for All My Books".
My arms have just realised I spent 4 hours carrying dishes back and forth yesterday (school fete volunteering). My ankle had its moment last night. Says something about excessive time chained to desk, probably, but I'm feeling good about coping given how much of a zombie I've been the last few weeks
Noise cancelling headphones are great for being able to hear things, especially at the train station. But if the podcast finishes and I'm left with a muffled version of the world it freaks me the hell out. Don't let my brain know I've been tricking it out of paying too much attention to surroundings

giving the "no, you go ahead" wave when you have the right of way is just as wrong as not respecting someone else having the right of way
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
Core memory unlocked.
"It was a fine #Autumn. The blackberries were ripe, the nuts were ready & the mice of Brambly Hedge were very busy. Every morning they went out into the fields to gather seeds, berries & roots which they took back to the Store Stump & stowed away for the winter ahead"

Aww, I got baby's first Facebook restriction. I assume because the bots don't like some art I was posting about (possible connotation of self-harm, but not really). Fuck off, censor-bots, it's far less objectionable than the AI slop.

In 2014 I wrote for @newyorker.com about @kurtjmac.bsky.social, a YouTuber who began walking in Minecraft and never stopped. His quest was to reach the Far Lands, a place at the limits of the algorithmic world, where the landscape breaks apart. On Saturday, after fourteen years, he arrived:
A Journey to the End of the World (of Minecraft)

Fuck you, SharePoint.
Good luck. Change is hard but hopefully leads to good new things in the long run.
The Doctor has been confused about how a peaceful society could become more violent. Turns out they didn't and Vicki's father is just a genocidal creeper in an alien suit. Who dies and Vicki has no where else to go but the TARDIS. I'm sure that truma won't be instantly forgotten. #ChaWho
Barbara straight-up kills Vicki's sand monster friend and makes her cry. Then the doctor slips straight into belittling her abotut how much smarter and better he is. The new family dynamic is off to a great start. #ChaWho
Then this dude pushes Barbara off a cliff, rude. Apparently no big deal, though.

The TARDIS gets trapped by a cave-in, of course. The Doctor and Ian have a short cave adventure before meeting up with the others. #ChaWho
Opens on a cool crashed spaceship model full of knobs, dials and beeping indicators. That's the stuff. Meanwhile, the doctor is having a sook and takes a nap while Barbara and Ian explore. #ChaWho
THE RESCUE. A quick two-parter introducing Susan's replacement Vicki. Another teenager to preserve the family roadtrip dynamic they have going on. And maybe so the Doctor can just push all his grandaughter feelings onto someone else instead of processing emotions. #ChaWho

Australians, please raid your Uncle's old PC in his shed, and help me find a copy of this to archive.

Windows 10 End of Life is in less than 2 weeks!
But you don't have to upgrade to Windows 11!!

This video will show you how to extend the life of Windows 10 by 3 more years via Extended Security Updates program safely, for free.

MS throws you to the wolves, but the wolves will throw you a bone.
The plane trees are out to get me today. Right in the throat.
Most useful AI tip in the team meeting: how to turn it off*.

(Kind of, at least less constant, in Excel only).
I was getting sperm, but now you mention it.
Honestly I'm proud of me this week, dealing with phones, hospitals and a whole lot of catch-up work.
I had a telehealth haematology appointment today and the doctor kept calling me by my full name which was kind of weird.

And my brain melted and I gave him an incorrect email address, so now I have to work out who I'm supposed to contact to fix it and get my pathology form. Nice job, dickhead.
