The thing that's never sat with me re:criticism about Expedition 33 being "baby's first JRPG" is that the people who actually made the game couldn't be more consistently reverent about their influences.

"ai game won goty" clair obscur started dev in 2019. if a tiny team that primarily doesn't speak english experimented with gen ai when it was new, didn't realize any of it was actually still in the game on release, and patched it out it immediately when informed... who cares. it's not a poison psyop

Less excited for the new Megaman, not because I won't like it, but because I can't trust Capcom not to just make a merely competent game without anything special and then dip for nearly a decade after.

Out of curiosity for the AYN Thor I went to check out reviews for it and found that out of all these handheld reviewers there is only like one, kind of normal, guy and the rest I’d slam their heads on a locker and bang the door repeatedly.

Just thinking about how easy it’d be for Nintendo to give you the option to play your old switch games on the switch 2 in docked mode while playing portable, essentially giving you a visuals upgrade for your entire library for absolutely nothing.
