Tbf I’ve moved over 24 times in my life, so I’ve always craved a community like this… never had that experience until moving to Philly. It’s wild. People have been far friendlier and more welcoming that even the Midwest or the south, and they’re **sincere** about it too! 🥹

Plus, we love our area without an HOA. Our community comes together to do block parties, community cleanups, and more! There’s also a little competition every quarter for cutest front decor. It really just takes an involved, invested community of folks who like one another and where they live! 🥰

Ohhhh this makes sense. Also, yes!!! I had it like 2-3 times a year as a kid 😭 they said they’d remove my tonsils if I got it one more time, so my brain simply decided to never get it again after that (maybe I finally developed an immunity lmao) — until I was an adult working with students 🥲 so…
