I won’t even tell you how often I think of this movie—and its SEQUEL! Seriously, they’re the only reason I ever watched #rhbh and I know I’m not the only one 😂

Plus *this* gem! I swear you couldn’t tell me that me and my cat weren’t magic! (Still can’t 😉)

Yo, I LIVED for this movie! Wasn’t allowed to see movies rated higher than “G” forever, & on “get rid of the kids days” Moms would just drop us off & pick us up hours later.

Also: The 70s was THEE best decade to be a child ever. Kids were centered & “normal” was adults at their literal weirdest.

The late '70s was a deeply weird time at Disney. Need proof? Let's dive into Escape to Witch Mountain, following two cute kids with psychic powers running away from a scheming businessman. Hijinks ensue.

Generally about 7 or 8 — near the end of what I call the magic time… but still holding on / connected to the magic and wherever we were before we got here 👣

And sometimes just like 15 and angsty 👩🏾‍🎤

the Nobel Peace Prize committee going “yeah we felt like recognizing opposition leaders who resist authoritarianism was important right now for whatever reason” somehow feels like Trump won -1 Nobel Peace Prizes

like he somehow has one even less than he did before, despite never having had one

Thiessen having a good chuckle about his fired liberal colleagues - some of whom he worked with for 15 years - is a good reminder that token conservatives at mainstream news outlets are/were there to destroy them, not to contribute to them.

Oregon National Guard Adjutant General, General Gronewold says if they are federalized, that he will advise the Title 10 commander to utilize National Guard Troops to PROTECT protesters at ICE facilities. This is the right answer.

I stopped calling Octavia butlers work prophetic once I realized she herself literally said that her work was influenced by deeply studying history which gave have her insight into the future. I realized I was watering down how truly brilliant she was and what she was trying to get across

One of the more incredible stories out of LA this year has been how a taco review blog became the best on-the-ground coverage of ICE raids in the city.

They do a dispatch every day, follow-up on the kidnapped people (which almost no media outlet has done), and fact-check government claims.

ICE is hog tying protesters in Portland and removing them on Dollies.

This is dangerous and could cause serious injury.

The Department of Homeland Security thinks it’s a joke.

They’ve shared this video with the tagline “Refuse to Walk? We’ll give you a ride”.

Stay strong Portland.
