I've been thinking about obsessive characters recently. Intense and overwhelming in a way that is in a way off-putting but also really compelling. It's a kind of open vulnerability that seems to imply a level of self-acceptance, and a disregard for the opinions of others, which I admire.

You spend seven years in Kirkwall until the game says, “yeah, no matter what, the prejudices and traumas and hurts of this world are Too Much for one person to stop them. The world changes, wars roll over the land, you cannot stop history, Hawke. You tried. You failed.” And then you just sit there, sixteen years old, listening to “I’m Not Calling You A Liar” and you’re like….well, I guess I really wasn’t a hero. Damn. I love it.

When I go to the movies, I get a child ticket because it's slightly cheaper and theater employees aren't paid enough to give a shit.

So two weeks ago I went to see Predator: Badlands...

um...
Ticket stub for Predator Badlands. The name of the movie is listed as simply "Predator" and comes after the ticket type, resulting in the admission purchase being unfortunately listed as "1 Child Predator" and that sucks.
