so many ppl fall into this because being a creative can be very lonely but if you start mistaking fans for friends you’re gonna have a lot of empty transactional social relationships with ppl who will have zero boundaries in ways that’ll hurt *them* the most, and you’ll be ultimately responsible. 🙅‍♂️

idk how niche this is but as a visible online creator there needs to be a very deliberate line between ppl who have a social relationship w you and ppl who have a *para*social relationship w you. you can have some wonderful and lovely interactions with the latter, but you should never muddy the two.

“Don’t call this concentration camp what it is or it’s insulting to the victims of Dachau” I’d argue is MORE disrespectful, as it offers no cautionary example to prevent such a place from BECOMING a Dachau. You can’t stop another shoah if you won’t acknowledge when one is coalescing in front of you.

They built concentration camps, made it legal to send ppl to countries they aren’t from, made it legal to denaturalize citizens after only a CIVIL case, which doesn’t require a lawyer, just a judge, and they’re deputizing Florida national guard to BE the judges. Premeditated ethnic cleansing.
