Is this the military or is this kindergarten? What's next, demanding your mommy sign a note explaining why you didn't eat your entire MRE?

The Wall Street Journal reports that Ghislaine Maxwell had a meeting with an unknown person in her new prison camp, during which the entire prison was on lockdown.

Inmates say she's getting unusually favorable treatment by the prison.

Ukraine would need some platform to fire Tomahawks. Submarines and ships are exceptionally unlikely. A truck-based system is possible, but the US needs its few Typhons in the Pacific www.businessinsider.com/what-to-know...

Robert Jackson — the former Supreme Court justice, Solicitor General, and Nazi war crimes prosecutor — gave a speech in 1940 titled "The Federal Prosecutor" that is considered a must-read for people who join the DOJ.

This passage has been circulating a lot lately:

We trained Iraqi F-16 pilots in AZ too. Part of our theater security cooperation program; and tied to Iraq’s purchase of 32 aircraft, last of which (IIRC) were delivered in 2019.

Been off the beat for a hot minute, but the US has for decades housed training units for foreign Air Forces at US bases? Singapore has had a base in Arizona since 2001, and they train in Idaho sometimes.

This is routine hegemon stuff, not a new/unique evil www.nationalguard.mil/News/Article...

No US flight training curriculum will teach anyone to fly *into* anything. The curriculum will likely instruct Qatari Air Force pilots in aircraft handling and weapons employment. The F-15QA is designed for air-to-air and ground attack missions

An entire ecosystem has evolved to "out" so-called "woke" military officers. There are many instances where activists guess at the views of military officers from their family members. More here: www.businessinsider.com/inside-anti-...

SECWAR Hegseth "doesn’t rely on the corrupt filter of the mainstream media," DoW's chief spokesman said.

Highly recommend this fascinating look at 10th Mountain's experimentation.

Also hard to square the Army's open-sided Infantry Squad Vehicle with a future operational environment of mines & small killer drones. ISV protects against neither and can be outrun on offroad terrain

The Army’s Race to Catch Up in a World of Deadly Drones.
The U.S. military had believed that drones would keep troops out of harm's way. Instead they are making war deadlier for everyone.
My story on how the Army is reckoning with this new kind of war.

Not really. This is a US air base that will host a facility where Qatari pilots are trained to fly F-15. The US also trains pilots from Singapore there www.spokesman.com/stories/2022...

A lot of people are dunking on President Trump for not winning Nobel Peace Prize. That misses the point.

It's worth pausing for *a moment* to note the Nobel's immense clout and the way it incentivizes national leaders to seek peace. The quest for a Nobel is one factor that may reduce vast suffering

WSJ reports that the Truth Social message Trump directed at Pam Bondi, about indicting Jim Comey, was meant to be a DM. Asked about the post, Bondi told senators, "I don’t think he said anything that he hasn’t said for years.” We might see that remark, among others, in Comey's motion to dismiss.

Remember that "Pam: I have reviewed ..." TruthSocial post from Trump, the one that looked a lot like a private message?

Yes, it was supposed to be a private message.

Trump "was surprised to learn it was public."

But here is how federal officers described the scene outside the ICE building in southwest Portland on Sept. 25: “low energy.”

The next day the same: “low energy.”
