This place is not a place of honor. No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here. Nothing valued is here. What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.

My niece told me yesterday its from a song detailing the height of a basketball player.
Feels like Toilet needs to be thicker which to be fair is a not-uncommon complaint I have

hang this in the louvre (there's room now)
Its also one of my favorites, and I'm sure del Toro knows what he's doing. Looking forward to it.

There was a really good production of it filmed for National Theatre Live with Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller. They put it up on YouTube for free during the early days of Covid.
Just Raleigh and Seattle, my in-laws used to live there.

Not sure the folks at NBC/Peacock thought this one through

This is the kind of cultural touchstone we lost when we moved away from 22-episode seasons and into prestige TV
It feels too fitting for a show so obsessed with nostalgia that the radio station is the same as my local classic rock station.

To be clear, I know it's a coincidence, no one's Easter Egging my home city.
found someone on a local city discord building their own TTRPG and asked if anyone was interested and I thought, sure, I'll chat with this person about game design.

"So how far along are you?"
"Oh, its coming quick, I just ask ChatGPT"

Why would I want to play a game you don't want to design
always a good ttrpg session when everyone has to spend all their adrenaline dice. even better when it's the only thing standing between two PCs and a fiery death.

Successful redaction.
Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

Oh hey, look at the day! It's release day!

If you want an action packed, sci-fi adventure that meshes the heart of Guardians of the Galaxy with the weird of One Piece and the vast galaxy of Mass Effect wrapped into a love letter to Star Wars Legends, then look no further than Bounty Inc!

Out now!
Featherless, Featherless! Damned autocorrect tried doing it here as well.

Diogenes: *brings forth plucked chicken* Behold! A Man!

My son, over 2000 years later: this is the greatest joke of all time
Sometimes there'll be a joke written by someone who's been dead for tens, hundreds of years & i'll stop and think about another human reaching through time to make another human laugh, long after they're gone, and it's so beautiful it makes me well up.

RIP to Drew Struzen, the greatest to ever do it. 🙌
If I ever started my own blog it would be me reviewing classics as "JUST LOOK AT THIS SHIT LOOK AT IT"
I took my kids to A Midsummer Night's Dream this summer, and the 9 year old understood the plot pretty much perfectly, the 6 year old was a bit more unsure but loved the pageantry of it.

Yeah, it's old, but he made it for Lots Of People.
There's an erroneous belief that the classics are only enjoyable as a 'snooty elitist' thing. Classics have *so much* weird shit in them. Whether it's an action sequence in The Iliad that feels like it's straight out of a JRPG, a curse that makes a dick too big, or horse piss washing away an army...
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
