Woken at 5:15 am by a disgruntled baby, leaving me with about 5 hours of sleep. Sarah is sick, Vivi has a Sunday Doctor's appointment for shots, and I had to snow blow out in order to leave.

2700 words tonight. Yeah, the words for this story are flowing like spice on Arrakis.
Yeah, I'm almost 2k words into this, it's the project getting the most steam behind it, so guess I'm taking a quick break for a short story unrelated to anything I've done so far!

And I made it cyberpunk.

Tentative title: A Contract with MorgueShack
I love the idea of there just being a corpse stand at the market where necromancers can study the dead bodies for sale.

Wait, now I want to write a short story about someone who signs a contract to sell his body to one of these stands and has to stay in shape or they'll take his money back.

One of our players just got demi-plane, and the very first thing he did was stuff it with the badass corpses of our defeated foes so we can sell them to our local necromancer later.

Good morning and a new #SFINCS review 😁

Phengaris by Anna Orridge is a creepy queer ecohorror with some excellent imagery and characterization.
