Wild. The thing that makes this seem impossible, though is the 44% of people who claim not to have noticed Batman on the Milan metro, yet it influenced behavior.
Science will often take you to unexpected and delightful places. In this study, researchers hypothesized that riders in a crowded subway car would be more likely to offer their seat to a pregnant person if there were someone in the subway car dressed as Batman 🧪🦇

Listening to day-long talks, intending to do mostly brainless sorting of folders of other people's papers. Unsurprisingly, often struggling to sort papers into "Peripheral vision" vs. "Attention". Would probably be faster if I had a "Claims to be attention but might be peripheral vision" folder.
