Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing a text, writing an email, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.

that feeling when you’re snuggling your dog on the couch and the sun sets so there isn’t enough light in the room but the snugs are too good to get up so you just see the faint shine of a distant light on his eye as he gazes adoringly at you 🥹

NEW: Organ tuners have been leaving temperature and humidity records in little-known books for decades. 🎹

They reveal how temperatures inside churches have changed over time due to climate change and increased heating.

A new scoop for The Reengineer!

Church organ tuning records mirror our warming climate
The records appear to reflect climate change, as well as the increased heating of churches in winter

This is an incoherent and useless policy. "You can use stolen work for *some* of your novel but not *all* of your novel."
We're simply asking that you be on the side of the actual people you represent, @sfwa.org, the writers.

This is bad. Any LLM use in writing should be grounds for disqualification.

Stop compromising with garbage products pushed on us by fascists.
Another Nebula Awards nomination cycle is in full swing, and the addition of poetry and comics, along with the presence of LLMs in industry, required careful consideration.

if you use LLMs at any point in creating a story, you're not a writer, so you should not be eligible for a writing award. it's that simple, SFWA!
