We need to support trans people in the workplace to help prevent their exclusion from the every day conversations that affect them.
I am happy to speak to anyone to share advice on applying to jobs, interviews, career development in any way I can.

Glad Corbyn went out of his way to support an open transphobe and embed him in the party more than any other MP, very smart choice.

To be really clear, Sussex ICB threatened, in writing, to close a Brighton GP practice serving 25,000 patients, purely to bully them into passing over child records. The GP did not want to pass on these records, because they understood the acute risk (& reality) of harm to trans adolescents.
Sophie's article is back up with a statement from the ICB. They are lying. They threatened Well BN with closure if they weren't given access to our childs records. Well BN held off for months, trying to stop them.
"Laura fears all will be lost if ICB Sussex forces her child off the medication.

If ICB Sussex get their own way in a matter of weeks and they force detransition, Olive may well take her life."

They have not spoken to us directly since the investigation was announced. They made the decision to take away what for my daughter was life saving care without ever hearing from us or taking into account the harm of that decision. It’s been devastating. Thank you for talking about it.

Starmer has taken active steps to hurt trans people. He could have done nothing and it would not have hurt labour's standing at all. Labour's anti-trans actions are done because Starmer wants to. He wouldn't buy Whittome here if he thought there was any chance she can have a meaningful impact.
Delighted to announce that I have joined the Women & Equalities Committee, alongside @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social and Kevin McKenna MP.

I’m looking forward to scrutinising the government’s work in this area and championing equality for women and marginalised groups.

Asylum seekers, housed in hotels in Manchester, are reaching out in their own words to address the concerns of the local community.

Please take a minute to read their letter, & share it with the people in your life who need to hear the truth about the people they are protesting.

NHS England has written to all ICBs and Trusts to tell them to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism and notifying them that NHS England will develop new uniform and workwear guidance. In the letter it mentions that it will draw on policies developed by Univercity College London Hospital (UCLH).

(Content warning: suicide)

1/🧵 It makes me feel sad to have to send this email just because some people still believe suicide is a sin and that being trans is an abomination. They work to suppress information. Neither of those things is true. Suicide is preventable. And help is available.

Arguments about reform vs revolution feel a bit Titanic feng shui in this particular political moment tbh.

I'm neither a reformist nor a revolutionary. I'm a "make sure as many of us survive as possible"-ist (-ary?).

🚨 UPDATE 🚨

The news is in, and it’s good

🚫 GWD, the anti-trans lobby group led by four disgraced expelled members, has been denied a platform at Autumn Conference

They tried to strong-arm the party with legal threats in order to spread their transphobic agenda

But the party stood firm

1.
🚨 UPDATE 🚨

This week, Green Party Specialist Interest Groups will be told whether Party leadership plans to allow GWD to run a stall at Autumn Conference

To be clear: GWD is a transphobic lobbying outfit, fronted by expelled ex-members with a history of breaching party values and code of conduct
🚨 UPDATE

My understanding is that GPEW now has legal advice and leadership are holding high-level discussions about how to handle the GWD stall at Autumn Conference

As I mentioned before, members should be prepared for the likely presence of an anti-trans lobby group led by expelled former members

So glad the transphobes have a party now, they've been politically homeless for so long. Maybe they'll fuck off out the greens for good now.
October 1, 2025 at 2:10 PM
Reform don't even want national ID cards. It's not a policy they've said their interested in and considering the number of Reform members who are convinced Starmer will lock them up for tweets it's unlikely they're going to be a fan.

Interesting that Labour only chase certain reform policies.

I've left unison, looking for a good union to replace it. The biggest threat to my job currently is transphobes saying I need to treat trans people as the opposite gender. Ridiculous for a trade union to support a candidate who will cause so much harm to workers.
September 25, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Considering Unison was already in bad graces as they sent what was essentially an ad for Microsoft copilot to members, endorsing Phillipson might be the last straw. Can anyone recommend a union for enabling NHS staff that supports the LGBTQ community?

Like most aspects of moral panics about diagnoses increasing I really do think the growth in autism diagnosis - aside from the spread of knowledge - is the result of a wider culture being more strict and hostile towards variation from certain "abled" norms.

I understand being disconcerted about Your Party, it's impressive the level of fuck ups they've had but make sure you're not giving them more power than they actually have. Parties don't power political movements, political movements power parties.
