Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

Multiple disabilities. Was hard enough for me to accept but then to deal with judgement from others was awful.
Disability isn’t a bad word.

There’s nothing wrong with being disabled.

There’s nothing wrong with identifying as disabled.

Ableism teaches us that we have to hide our disabilities.

Self acceptance means we stop hiding.

We won’t go gently for the comfort of others.

A thoughtful piece about the roles we all play in perpetuating the misery.
It’s much easier to turn populist rage against an identifiable enemy — especially as the cost of living continues to go up and up, and quality of life decreases — than it is to build a better society.

Heartbreaking. I cannot imagine why RFK Jr persists with his murderous obsession.
National public health “leadership” (hi RFK Jr 🙄) keeps poisoning public health with lies.

Vaccines prevent needless childhood deaths.

No baby in America should be dying of whooping cough — not when we have safe, effective vaccines literally ready to go.

This is a national tragedy

We’re doing the work in impossible conditions—scrambling with too few resources, pivoting constantly, exhausted. And we wonder: does this even count? Can anything meaningful be built on such unstable ground?
