If you’re a large account and regularly make semi annoying posts I don’t think your avatar should be from a popular cartoon because then I just permanently associate those posts with that character. Canti from FLCL almost got ruined this way.

This is so true, the moomins have almost been ruined for me because so angry puritanical abusive harassment accounts that cancel people for shipping the wrong cartoon characters love to have moomin icons because it's such a soft, twee little show
