this. leaving Twitter in 2023 was frightening as most of my work over the previous dozen years had come from there. but i had to jump into the post-Twitter abyss because the alternative was having white supremacist and transphobic "trends" thrown at me all the time. and i just *could not*.
If you're a creative professional still on Twitter because you use it to find work/clients, you should either make peace with the fact that a growing part of your work is going towards people you likely can't ethically tolerate, or you should be spending your spare moments planning to deplatform.

If your kids find out that all it would have taken for them to transition early was for you to have broken the rules, and they find out you didn't do that, they will never forgive you.
reminder to parents of trans children:
breaking the rules to save your child years of suffering and possibly their life is your moral duty, get them on the correct hormones no matter what and don't bother with "doing things the right way"
