Two magnificent oak trees stand together by the path, their interlinking branches seem to writhe against the blue sky.
The track is a medieval drove way and may predate the arrival of the Normans in the 11th Century. It is part of the Magna Carta way which links the Castles at Clare and Castle Hedingham - Robert de Vere of Hedingham Castle and Richard de Clare from Clare Castle had been hit by taxes by King John, they were two of the Barons who plotted the Rebellion that led to Magna Carta.

Black and White. 40-50m high granite cliffs have been smashed and eroded by the action of the wild North Atlantic leaving a series of sea stacks scattered in the bay of Wester Wick. The sun glints off the water which stretches to the far horizon.
The granite rocks are part of the Sandsting Pluton, igneous rocks that were formed between 393.3 and 358.9 million years ago during the Devonian period. Another sign of the volcanic history of the Shetland Isles.
