Idk. Maybe I'm just annoyed that I can't use a label because everyone wiped their ass with it? Like objectively speaking, anyone who plays games as a hobby is a gamer, but the bad public perception of the term makes you look bad.

Mostly things like "gamer" and stuff of that nature. I've been passionate about video games for most of my life, so it gets grating that people say gamer in reference to exclusively asshole chuds who play video games.

Correction. The customers are either garbage eaters who buy every AAA game at launch, play it for a couple of hours, and never touch it again, or popular streamers with no sense of taste. This is why AAA is mostly souless remakes that play like Fortnite. The lowest common denominator.
