As for why I'm doing this - I've found that practicing the songs I wanna play comes a lot easier when I can actually play along to the track (as opposed to using a metronome).
Previously I was using Reaper for this, but managing multiple songs means a new track for each song (not fun to scale!)

This is the first pass at the UI for playing back a song, with nice control over the song's tempo at the BPM level and at a percentage level. This all scales the song's speed without the pitch being thrown off

Sharing in case this helps anyone else - I was able to get Godot ImGui rendering in XR by enabling multi-viewport rendering. This works for me in Windows builds also

Unsurprisingly coming from an indie dev, I don't really enjoy doing the marketing for my work. Social media in general is really draining?
Since I'm making games for the sake of making games (and since I'm not charging money for my hobby work), I usually leave it till the end. Love cutting scope 🤠
