Kids are terrified right now (for themselves, families, and friends), and wondering who their "safe people" are. Be that person!

We need to know who in our schools, workplaces, neighborhoods is ready to stand with our neighbors and get in the way if/when state agents come looking for them.

If we can't find a single better candidate in the entire state of Maine than a former mercenary with a Nazi tattoo, then we may as well pack it in now. The whole point of a primary is to find the best person, and by all indications Platner is very much not it.

We need a senate candidate with antifascist tattoos who wants to abolish the Senate. Abolish the house too. And the Judiciary. And the Presidency.
He had 20+ years to do it of his own accord.

Performative shows are useless.
How much of it is being sheltered for him and his cronies when they escape.

The script is just clearly plagiarized at this point.
If you get a bad tattoo while young & drunk in Croatia, that's one thing. But to not get it covered up or removed in the couple decades since means you're either incurious or believe in the message behind the tattoo.

Either of those options you should mean that you're unfit for office.

I'll be contrarian, to a point. Since roughly 100% of Americans, w/an IQ over 60 points, knows what "anti-fascism" means, & have since WWII, progressive sorts would be smarter to use that term. "Antifa," to many, sounds foreign & scary, like "Intifada," which is why right-wingers use it exclusively.
He sees that front and center in the mirror every day, there is no excuse.

You gotta imagine how weird it felt to drive that backhoe today just looking back at everybody going “you sure about this everybody’s sure about this?”

Anytime you ask “why did the Times cover it this way?” or whatever corporate media it is, remember that influential moderates are the tool of the wealth class and are there to normalize whatever the wealthy want and create doubt regarding reform and change.
This is from the same people who claim antifa are the real fascists, so yeah this tracks.
It's the main reason I only have one kid. When we ran the numbers, there was no way we would be able to afford two day care bills even with decent jobs.
They still live in an occupied police state you clown.

my god there has never been a more accurate use of this
I know folks in OH who found their great-grandad's white robe & hood tucked away in the attic, still being held on to by members of the family.
And as much as I love a whole bunch of people in Ohio, I'm not shocked that (1) he's in deep enough to post that in his office and (2) he didn't have the forethought to take it out of his zoom background.

Even if there is a “good” candidate, elections will never be more than a bandaid.

Now, the bandaid is a great product that can minimize risk of infection, but when what we are trying to heal is the systemic equivalent of multiple shotgun wounds, a bandaid just isn’t enough.
