She has been calling me this for a few hours now. Other mommy: “other mommy” is the name goose uses to differentiate me from my wife (“mommy”). The names are largely interchangeable but I get “other mommy” a little more often and now I’m fond of it. She was fascinated by these and “kiko” is how she imitated the beeping sound the signal made while waiting for it to give us a walk signal. this is similar to what I've come to think of as the "reverse turing test"

when people find synthetic text is "good enough" to complete a task (homework, business report, email) it doesn't mean the machine is smart. it means they were asked to produce something that didn't matter

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
