The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

We must accept the obvious and move on to the next step. A lot of people won’t move on because the next step is uncharted territory and will not have an easy solution. We must be prepared for failure, perhaps multiple failures. But you don’t lose until you quit. We must not quit trying.

If we must beg our representatives to uphold the Constitution, we must infer that they will not listen to us. If they were going to do it, they would already have started doing it, no matter how futile the effort might be, because they swore an oath.

You're not seeing the defense and international conflict experts disagreeing because if the facts are true, it's one of the most basic things in the law of armed conflict: You cannot kill people who are "hors de combat," taken out of the game by injury or attack. This is Geneva 101 stuff.
