It's also super necessary to pause and have some rest; at some points I get to think my stories are dumb or make no sense until I pause and look at it with distance. Slow burnout I guess.

Yeah to be fair that's a big draw. In my time there at Tapas, I was in a quite nice community too. But I've heard terrible things about their contracts...

Well if you still want to go big I'd say do condider a crowdfunding campaign too. For indie comics is undoubtedly what will give you most economic success.

To be honest I don't know a lot about it! I've read a couple of comics on the site and works great too. But if I'm being honest the bit I quoted is no joke, it really kills you to have to resize an image a dozen times because it surpasses the intended size... I still have flashbacks from that.

To be honest it's the perfect plan if you just want to try gain some audience and readers. It's just you have to fight the sites I mentioned, because in spite of them it's usually worth it to upload it there for the traction it can get (instead of at your own site, for instance).

I was seriously consider uploading webcomics again and was unsure of doing so on Webtoon (ugh) or Tapas (ugh); then found out about Global Comix:

"There is no maximum image pixel size required. As part of the upload process, we process and resize your images into multiple versions"
