Yep. Somehow weve regressed to some puritanism again, and this time it comes from a couple directions arriving at the same conclusion. I dont like it one bit. I dont like going backwards.

There are numerous class features and spells and so forth which improve morale and offer bonuses, but there is absolutely no Morale Score for any monster.

You arent crazy, you didnt miss it!

I'm genuinely surprised and, yeah, disappointed. Especially since Morale is one of my most favorite rules!

I just checked the hard copy (gotta admit I was shocked to not find an index at the back; even 1981 B/X had indices & they were a fraction of the size!) and the PDF just to be sure I didnt miss it. There's a brief blurb on Morale as you mention, which refers to monster morale, and then... nothing.

Lone Star Zine Fest was amazing 😭😭😭💕💜

I'll post about it on my zine but it felt so wonderful to meet all these creative people and chat with new friends and be immersed in queer culture, which I rarely experience down here in TX unlike back home.
