Not only did he do this for Morbius, but his insistence on only traveling around on either crutches or a wheelchair caused several production delays because it would take him so long to simply get around set to do things like use the bathroom

While portraying the character of Dr.
Michael Morbius, Leto used crutches and wheelchairs even during breaks because he didn't want to break character. This was a part of his method acting routines.
Although it was helping Leto get more and more into the mindset of Dr. Morbius, the use of crutches ended up getting production delays because Leto would have difficulties in the bathroom.

Director Daniel Espinosa revealed in a recent interview with UPROXX that he didn't mind the delays in production. On the other hand, the director did use a crew member to push Leto in a wheelchair to speed things up just a notch.

“It's more that I think the directors that don't like actors get really frustrated about that. I think it's really mysterious, what they do. Almost all actors, in general, have their own reputation of being an interesting person how he works with their characters. I think that all of them have these traits.”

It’s so funny how every time Jared Leto does his method acting in a film, the director and crew have to go out of their way to be like “woah it was so intense, he was so in character, it added so much depth” and then you watch the film and he’s giving the most lazy, no-thought performance possible

"I do address him as Ares when we're filming and everybody goes, we get a little bit up. He's the general walking onto set, which is fine," Ares director Joachim Ronning recently told Screenrant. "And it's not
uncommon for actors to do it like that.
And it works for him. And I think you can feel it in any movie he makes. He's completely into the character."

The thing I hate the most in my nerdy hobby is the obsession with consumerism, especially how it's often turned into a virtue. It's why I always say that there's no wrong way to enjoy retrogames: emulate, originals, re-releases, whatever. As long as you're having fun, you're doing it right.

I’ll be honest, I only use Twitch if I absolutely have to.

Their godawful PS4 and iPhone apps have soured me on using them exclusively as a viewer, but there are certain streamers/streams that are only on Twitch, so I’ll catch those when I can

I use Twitch something closer to live tv: I have it on in the background while I do other things.

It’s not something I try to comment on constantly.

Mostly because I feel like the conversation moves too fast for me to add on most streams I’m watching

I would say yeah, it’s pretty much the same.

Another thing I think has been helpful is knowing people irl you can talk to when you’re feeling overwhelmed by everything.

For me, it’s my family, my partner and my two friends

Facism looks impenetrable and scary, which is on purpose to keep us compliant. But running on being impenetrable and scary only works for so long.

There are small cracks starting to form. Look at the videos of the protests in Portland and Chicago. Share those videos with people irl

For me, it’s to keep resisting in small, every day ways.

Keep writing to the politicians that are there to represent me, both federal and state.

Give money to campaigns to candidates who I agree with, to non-profits and to people who are struggling when I can.

Inform my irl friends and family
