An issue with working till my usual bedtime is that the wind-down is starting 2 hours late and it's fine because I don't have to be at work till 10 tomorrow but it's still throwing me off

This is a good time to remind everyone that the HK government has been trying to get rid of bamboo in order to cater to their pals in the China steel industry who cannot get into the HK construction market.
This was a regulatory/safety failure.

Finished listening to The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett last night and I really liked it a lot. It's proper fantasy but also proper deductive-reasoning detective murder mystery. I am moving straight on to the next book in the series but if you have recs for fantasy or scifi crime books pls 👇
