One way that the reaction to Rob Reiner's murder mirrors Charlie Kirk's is that the best way to eulogize each of them is to quote their words, and in both cases, doing so pisses off conservatives.
Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."

For better or worse, public figures are judged when they die — their character, contributions, beliefs. It's undeniable that millions have mourned Rob Reiner's tragic death, celebrating his talent and contributions. I suspect when a certain public figure kicks the bucket, sentiments wont be the same

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

A reminder for when you're out in the cold doing your Christmas shopping, Starbucks is an anti-worker union-busting company. Get your coffee or hot chocolate elsewhere.
BREAKING: Police have been called on striking Starbucks baristas who were peacefully protesting, both in PA and NV.

It seems Starbucks would rather see their own workers arrested rather than listen to their concerns in good-faith.

Shame on Starbucks!

I'm pretty sure what we're seeing is a succession of people reading the room and picking the next exit ramp they think they can make sound convincing or rationalize.

Some picked Epstein & more are going to pick war crimes, in spite of the fact neither is new for this admin.

But NEWSMAX?? lol damn
Woah. Newsmax’s legal analyst just said Pete Hegseth and everyone involved in the illegal boat strike should be “prosecuted for a war crime.”

They’ve even lost Newsmax on this one.

What is best in life? To connect with as much joy as needed to be able to share it with others; to gladly be the beacon for Gondor's aid; and to seek and destroy the reasons for lamentations caused by the cruel.

Dealing with the immediate aftermath of a beloved parent’s death is whiplash beyond whiplash. Sometimes it’s an unexpected slap in the face, other times we’re crying with laughter. And we’re exhausted.

How tired am I, you ask? First, I turned the heel of my sock before knitting the heel flap. Then I started the heel flap going the wrong direction. Batting 1.000 over here. Third try's the charm?

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

I think the only thing worse than having a loved one die is to witness their precipitous decline.

I wish we had more time.

I’m glad I can be here to help make his last days easier for him and for my mom.

This has @abstracttesseract.bsky.social written all over it.
Great, our cyberpunk dystopia is also an urban fantasy where we confound the soulless Fae with poems and riddles.

Tesla shareholders approved Elon Musk's $1 trillion pay package.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, can't afford to feed their families, and struggle with cuts to the safety net made to finance tax cuts for the super-rich.

American capitalism is off the rails.

Clearly I am too old for a Mariners ALCS game 7. My heart cannot handle this.

I finally figured out how to watch G7 without a cable TV subscription and was telling my husband all about the 1995 playoff series and that I hope Lou Piniella is in the stands tonight.

Turns out one of his D&D players had a warg familiar named Lupin Ella and he completely missed the reference.

It is absolutely wild to me that a Mariners/Cubs World Series is an actually conceivable outcome of this playoff series.
