So reading the Dec 2025 Transportation Funding Report released by PBOT. I'm confused by the grading on some of these Evaluation Criteria. Ex: They graded congestion pricing as "Untested, or failed in past applications."??? Congestion pricing in London/NYC/elsewhere is massively successful...

The transit service cuts are going to be so horrific I cannot fathom. The next several years are going to be hell. We need a full time legislature. We need special sessions. They have to dig us out of the hell we are in. Reform the fucking tax system. No more budget cuts under wealth inequality.

Years later, I still think about how Parks and Rec uniquely nailed the kind of mean-spiritedness that comes out in people when they're interacting with or speaking to local government.

If a bike/walk project isn't good enough to get more people out of cars and onto the street with their feet, it's a waste of money. That's why we need leaders who won't stand for compromised projects that get watered down by bad faith haters and the weak elected officials who sympathize w them.
