Seems like good suggestions to me.

Not really under the developers control, but the street grid down here is getting pretty congested as we infill density - (I've got neighbors that have one car in a garage and another curb parked). Need to do more to keep SM from becoming a car suburb.

Many greenways w/ parking on residential streets are basically parking lots. The city is subsidizing so much free parking this way, which I don't agree with. Have had a couple close calls on being doored.

Honestly don't think cars belong on downtown streets at all. Freeway tolls are fine too!

How do we remove all the carbrained people from PBOT lol

Wish we had the political bravery to do things like downtown congestion pricing for cars, fees for heavy vehicles (the things that actually cause road wear), and unpopular as it would be, fees for curbside parking.

Mode share changes are the only way we get out of this financial hole.

No single person is completely responsible ofc, but Robert Moses is the guy. He did so, so much damage to American urbanism and set us back decades.

Behind the Bastards has a series on him if you want a podcast, highly recommend.

Also while I'm sitting here being mad about it, the Marquam Bridge is ugly as sin. It's a petty thing, but looking out from Tilikum towards downtown and it's just... there. In the way. Insisting upon itself.

Delete the Marquam and I-5 up to where it currently meets I-405, I-405 is now the new I-5. Suddenly you have a ton of high value riverfront property you can develop and/or get economic value from, which helps pay for the whole thing.

It's not perfect, but it turns a costly liability into an asset.

Portland is the most bike and pedestrian friendly city I've ever lived in, but it's still a car sewer.

I'd do anything to get local politicians to actually do something about it. An occasional new bike lane + widespread transit cuts + freeway expansion drama doesn't feel great.

Hi! Where do you come down on more bike infrastructure around Sellwood-moreland? The bike lanes at 13th and Spokane is great, but we need way more intersections like that. Too many cars rat-running around Tacoma and Bybee when traffic gets bad... Would love more advocacy for modal filters.

Banning price fixing was a plank of Harris's housing plan last year - so I guess she's a Nazi now!?

Neolibs flinch so hard at even the suggestion that someone in the owner class might be slightly inconvenienced, it's insane.
