Why are companies fighting for the privilege of going under first? Whoever buys Warner will be in private equity in a few months. They can't possibly not know this. I guess the idea is the CEO can get a big payout and bail before it goes under? Business is so shortsighted in the US.

Why do people still need mosquito repellent? I saw like, 2 all year. people are still acting like it's the 90's and they're swarming everywhere but they're dead. Between pesticides and global climate change, they're dead. We don't need to kill the few that are left.

I don't have a safety net and I never have and I'm eternally jealous of those that didn't have to be the strong person, bc no one else would. The person you think is the strongest person you've ever met is a sliver from cracking and only holding together to protect you from seeing it.

my father in law doesn't understand thermo dynamics but thinks he's a genius. A few weeks ago we agreed to shut down the front living room no one was using to save money. Then we had to open it on mondays for a family shrine. Then he turned the heat back on bc it was too cold on mondays....
