I don't believe there was any point in my 10+ year career in games and games media where press coverage had the power to "create" an indie hit.
this is a particularly funny year for the "press should cover indies more" convo to pop up again because as far as I can tell we've reached a point where press coverage has zero effect on sales anymore so idk, be free indies, worry about things that actually matter like steam nextfest placement

For any zoom-level that leads to a clean multiple of the original pixelsize... you get inconsistent pixelsize. Especially when having fluid zoom-in and zoom-outs it can look jarring.
That didn't stop PlayStation games from just doing this, though.
So to some extend, it's authentic pixelart.

Today's advent calendars! A pale ale and a pistachio chocolate. This is not our kind of beer, so it was just ok. The chocolate was pretty good. Not a massive pistachio aroma but with notes of dried raisins.
