This remains, and I say this advisedly, one of the best exchanges I have ever seen on social media

Good news: Chicago Public Schools students are doing better and recovering from Covid learning loss.

Bad news: The mayor just fired the guy leading this success story for no reason.

Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed.

The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.

I haven't yet forgiven Jerry Ford. Everything we're dealing with today could have been resolved in the mid 1970s. Even the malignant players are the same.

I happen to be a praying person so I’m sending prayers toward those in harm’s way. More importantly, I am voting for Harris. I will do my best to get other to also vote for Harris.

These tragedies make you feel powerless. Signing up to do GOTV is a thing you can do to feel less powerless.

I really wish people understood what a toxin Honig has been for years.

He's the founding father of half the conspiracy theories about Merrick Garland that led people to hate rule of law, when he could have, instead, talked about how long it takes to do a privilege review of a phone.
*It's unfair that the alleged and indicted coup-doer who managed to delay a trial for coup-doing and win immunity for any coup-doing done as an 'official act' today, in pre-election filings, faces arguments that his coup was in a personal capacity* strikes me as … um, quite the take.
I love good referback snark.

It’s Schadenfriday, and this one’s a good one. Tina Peters is the election denying former county official from Colorado who committed crimes to try and prove the 2020 election was stolen. She just got what was coming to her and then some. My write-up in the replies.
Yeah I saw that skit and cheered for him. Poor guy hadn't had such a great break since is childhood acting days.
Jenny was the character that hit me hardest. What kind of person looks at a women abused by men her entire life and who dies from aids is a villain rather than the most tragic victim.
The revisionist “Jenny is the villain of Forrest Gump” takes seem to automatically discount that she was physically and emotionally destroyed in the most abhorrent ways by her criminal, abusive father, so maybe ease up on her a bit

The feds are investigating whether bribes were paid for NYPD promotions and transfers, per NYPost. The day of NYC mayor Eric Adams's indictment, FBI agents raided a downtown Manhattan office building where two top mayoral advisers, Phil Banks and Tim Pearson, both former cops, work.

As much as I love Whoopi she occasionally gets things very wrong. Claiming Roman Polanski was not guilty pedophilia because it wasn't “rape-rape”.
